Do you have a flair for the dramatic??

Do you love history?

This may be your big chance!!

Even if you have never acted before you may discover that there is a “ham” below your usually reserved image.

The Ennis Historical Society and the Ennis Public Theater are eager to help “Discover” that hidden talent!

We are looking for three men and one woman to portray some of the illustrious historical people from Ennis’ past who rest in Myrtle Cemetery.

The Cast: Katie Daffan, Author, civic leader and organizer of the Ennis Writers Group

                                      Frederick H. Rankin – pioneer, cotton farmer and city leader

                                        Capt. Mark Latimer – Ennis banker and business leader

  Jack Lummus - Star athlete and military hero of World War II. Congressional Medal of Honor winner.


Each performer will present a 4 -5 minute monologue from a script containing basic biographical information and city events to groups of visitors as they tour the cemetery.

The Myrtle Meander is scheduled for the Saturday of our Autumn Days in Ennis Fall Festival, Oct. 15, 10:00AM to Noon and 1:00PM to 3:00PM
