The City of Ennis will hold a Special Election on January 31, 2026, to fill the vacant Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem positions following the resignations of Mayor Kameron Raburn and Mayor Pro Tem Lynda Isbell.
Mayor Raburn has resigned to run for Ellis County Judge, and Mayor Pro Tem Isbell has resigned to run for City of Ennis Mayor.
The candidate filing period to run for either position opens Monday, November 3, 2025, and closes Friday, November 21, 2025.
