Ennis ISD

Education has long been a top priority for residents in the Ennis Independent School District. Our students perform well in the classroom, in athletics and in other extracurricular activities.

The Ennis Independent School District (EISD) , formed in 1881, covers an area of 253.8 square miles in the southeastern corner of Ellis County and extends into a small area of Navarro County. Two early childhood centers; four elementary schools; two intermediate schools for grades four, five and six; a junior high school for grades seven and eight; and a high school with a career center comprise our instructional campuses.

An expanded technology program is in place on all campuses. Each teacher has a desktop computer which is used for grade book records, interoffice mail, the internet, in-class instruction and is networked with the entire district.
