BEES, HORNETS, WASPS, and OTHER INSECT ANSWERS

Insect Answers

Bees, Hornets and Wasps

Most nests constructed by stinging insects are situated high enough in trees not to threaten public safety. However, if the nests are on the public way and close enough to the ground to threaten public safety -- particularly if situated near schools, nursing homes or similar facilities -- the City of Ennis Department of Health Services staff will remove the nests.

NOTE:  We are not licensed to exterminate, remove, or relocate “wild” honeybee colonies or swarms on private property; however, we can provide information, education, and consultations upon request.

To report a problem, by contacting the Department of Health Services at 972-875-6442 M-F 8a.m. to 5p.m. or Click Here.
