No. At this time it is anticipated that all residents will remain on schedule they were previously on with collection days 2 days per week.
No. All trash must be bagged and placed inside the container with the lid closed. The trucks lift the container to empty them out. If it is a windy day loose trash will create a mess and bagging refuse helps keep the container clean.
No. Base sanitation rates are not increasing for a single 96 gallon container that will be serviced twice per week. For a typical residential account an additional fee of $5 per month will be added for a second container to also be serviced twice per week. An additional handling fee of $10.00 per occurrence may be charged for non-serviceable placement, overfilling or small amount of bagged refuse left adjacent to containers for pick-up. Refer to photo examples here for non-serviceable placement examples.
The new containers will be serviced beginning October 18th. If you received your container prior to this date please continue using old containers until October 18th.
Customers are encouraged to keep their old containers and use them for other purposes. However, if you want to dispose of your empty containers place them upside down near the curb or at the edge of the roadway during the following two weeks:
