Mayor Pro Tem Resignation and Upcoming Election
ENNIS,TX - Today, the Ennis City Secretary’s Office received the letter of resignation of Mayor Pro Tem 

Jake Holland. 

Mayor Pro Tem Holland has been presented with an exciting new job opportunity that will require him to move out of the city, July 12, 2024. 

The City of Ennis extends its deepest gratitude to Mayor Pro Tem Holland for his dedicated service and leadership during his tenure. His commitment and contributions have played a significant role in the progress and growth of our community. We wish him the very best in his future endeavors and much success in this new chapter of his life. 

In accordance with the City of Ennis Home Rule Charter, an election will be ordered to fill the vacancy left by Mayor Pro Tem Holland. Details regarding the election date and candidate filing process will be announced shortly.
