Select Roadways Closed in Preparation for the Bluebonnet Festival & Activities
In support of the Bluebonnet Festival and associated activities, the City of Ennis will be undertaking a series of temporary road closures beginning Monday, April 13, 2026, to allow for the safe setup and operation of the Carnival, the Ennis Bluebonnet Run and various activities leading into the 74th annual Bluebonnet Festival, which officially begins on Friday, April 17, 2026.
These closures are necessary to ensure pedestrian safety, accommodate 5k- and 10k-runners and carnival equipment, and prepare our downtown area for the weekend’s Bluebonnet Festival events.
