Temporary Closure and Relocation of City Hall Services

Ennis, Texas, August 5, 2026 – The City of Ennis is responding to an extensive water leak at City Hall. An initial assessment of the affected areas has been completed, and staff are actively coordinating response and mitigation efforts.

To maintain continuity of operations, Utility Billing and Human Resources are relocating to the Welcome Center. Staff are preparing the necessary equipment and workspace to ensure continued service during this time. Municipal Court services have relocated to the Public Works Administration Office on Brown St.

Residents will be able to make utility payments at the Welcome Center (201 NW Main St) starting at 8 a.m. tomorrow, August 6, 2026. Online payments and the Night Drop Box at City Hall will also remain available for those who prefer these alternative options.

The City of Ennis Municipal Court docket scheduled for tomorrow, August 6, 2026, has been canceled. Additionally, the Juvenile Court docket and Show‑Cause Hearings scheduled for August 20, 2026, have been canceled. Individuals with a docket scheduled to appear on those dates will be contacted directly with updated information.

Residents can make court payments in person at the Public Works Administration Office (115 West Brown St.) starting tomorrow, August 6, 2026, or by calling 866‑295‑3622 or visiting https://ennistx.municipalonlinepayments.com/ennistx/court/search. Parking is available in the northeast corner of the South Dallas and West Crockett parking lot.
