Appearance, Payment and Plea

Plea NO CONTEST / GUILTY & PAY FINE (result in a conviction). You may also request a 30-day extension on or before your citation due date with no penalty fees. Payment plan options are also available with ¼ down and ¼ a month for 3 months. This will include a $15-time pay fee per violation. There are no extensions or payment plan options for deferred disposition or driver safety course (see options below). 

In-Person: Appear at ENNIS MUNICIPAL COURT, 107 N Sherman, Ennis TX 75119. Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

By Mail: On your citation, check the appropriate plea and sign your name. Send cashier check or money order (no personal checks) for full payment to:

Online: Go to www.municipalonlinepayments.com/ennistx or 1-866-295-3622 to pay with a debit or credit card. 

Failure to handle your citation on or before your appearance date listed below your signature on your citation may result in being sent to our collection agency and a request to the Texas Department of Public Safety for the denial of driver’s license renewal.

You must make an appearance by mail or in person at Municipal Court before the response date on your citation. Court hearings cannot be scheduled by phone. Each defendant entering a plea of not guilty will be required to attend a pre-trial setting.
