General Guidelines

At the time the application is made for a new borrower's card, the applicant may check out 2 items.

Each library patron may check out a maximum of 14 items with loan periods varying on the resources checked out:

Books and audiobooks circulate for 2 weeks.
Magazines and videos circulate for 1 week.
Public, private, and home school teachers may borrow a class collection of books totaling up to 32 items on a teacher's card. These items are loaned for 6 weeks.

Videos may be checked out to children in junior high school or older with parent approval.

Limits of per household:

  • 3 books per subject of non-fiction
  • 1 volume of encyclopedia
  • 4 magazines or 2 of the same title
  • 6 titles of audiobooks
  • 3 titles of videos
  • Only the person to whom a library card is issued may use that library card.

*A person may check out materials without his/her card if he/she is on the library's computer and has a picture identification with him/her.

Replacement of a lost card costs $3.00.
