PAVILION RESERVATION INFORMATION

All Ennis Parks pavilions are available on a first-approved, first-paid basis, ensuring a fair and transparent process for all. Pavilion availability dates can be obtained by calling 972-875-1234  during regular business hours. All reservations are final and added to the pavilion reservation calendar once City Hall receives payment and the Parks Department issues a permit.

  • A submitted application does not guarantee an approved application. If you submit your application via email, please allow 24 business hours for staff to review it. If more information is needed, a Park and Recreation representative may contact you by phone or email to inform you of the status of your application.
  • Athletic Field reservations are at the discretion of the Parks and Recreation Department and may not be available if field conditions are unfavorable. The Parks Department may cancel athletic field reservations at any time to protect the playing surface for future use.   • The rental terms cover policies concerning the renter's specific responsibilities. To complete a reservation, the renter must agree to all terms.

Cancellation and Transfer Request Terms 

If for any reason you need to cancel or transfer your reservation, you will need to obtain an Ennis Parks Facility Rental Cancellation or Transfer Request from City Hall or by email. It must be returned in person or by email at least 5 days prior to your scheduled event (Monday before a Saturday event) or you FORFEIT all rental fees. If there is a threat of inclement weather, please contact the Parks Department to discuss options. If you need further information or assistance after hours contact 972-875-1234.  Rental Agreement 

Rental fees will not be refunded due to cancellation or weather conditions unless a 5-day notice of cancellation is submitted. 

Any cancellation made less than 5-days prior to your schedule event at any City of Ennis facility will forfeit all rental payments. 

The City can and may deny a rental agreement based upon the lessee’s past use of a City facilities. 

**Signed Agreements: ** (Per State Law, lessees must be at least 18 years old to enter into a contract.) A Rental Agreement must be completed and signed when booking a pavilion. Signed Agreements are binding, so please read and understand all terms before signing. The person signing is responsible for the rented facility. 

It is recommended that you survey the park to ensure it has adequate facilities to meet your needs before making your reservation. 

The City of Ennis reserves the right to cancel any reservation in the event of unforeseen circumstances, with or without notice or shift rental to another facility if it is in the public interest. In such an event, notice of cancelation will be given as early as practical and fees will be promptly refunded. 

The requested rental period MUST include set-up and clean-up time. The City of Ennis Parks Department reserves the right to charge for clean-up costs associated with your failure to abide by the stated rules and regulations 

Renters are required to remove all equipment, supplies, and trash at the end of their reservation. All trash must be placed in the designated trash cans. If the trash cans are full, renters must bag the trash and take it out of the park area. Renters are also responsible for providing their own extra trash bags. If the City of Ennis has to conduct a clean-up, the renter will be responsible for paying the associated costs. 

Please remove all decorative tape from the pavilion. Only tables and benches are allowed to be decorated. Do not use tacks, nails, glue, or string on the pavilion structure. Ensure that all tables and benches are free of litter and thoroughly wiped down to remove any spilled drinks and food. 

If damage occurs to the pavilion or surrounding area, the person who signed the rental agreement contract will be responsible for the cost of repair and damages. 


Rules & Regulations

1.  The name, logo, and seal of the City of Ennis, or any portion thereof, may not be used in any manner by an organization or individual on invitations, notices, etc. without written permission from the City of Ennis

2.    Fire codes as imposed by the City of Ennis must be met at all times.

3.    The individual making all preliminary arrangements and signing the renal agreement must be present during all phases of the function including setup, during the function, and breakdown and clan-up of the event. This individual is responsible for ensuring that guests remain primarily in the space which has been rented for the event.

4.    Any violation of any Park ordinance is just cause for any party to be expelled from the park immediately.

5.    It is unlawful to advertise or engage to advertise for any gain in any manner whatsoever for any event on park property.

6.    Unruly behavior is not permissible.

7.    Pets must be kept on a leash (maximum of 6 feet) at all times, and pet waste is picked up and disposed of properly.

8.    Thumb tacks, nails, or similar fasteners shall not be used on the pavilions or tables.

9.    Acts of gambling, alcohol consumption or consumption of controlled substance/s are prohibited on all City of Ennis properties.

10.  Renters cannot rent pavilion

11.    Propane grills may be used but must be placed a minimum of 10 feet from the pavilion structure. Only City owned charcoal grills are permitted in parks.

12.     The use of loudspeakers, radios, amplifiers, and /or microphones is prohibited.

13.     The City of Ennis Parks department will not store nor be held responsible for any property left after the conclusion of the reservation.

14.     Only one reservation per individual or organization may be scheduled at any one time. Any additional reservation cannot be made until the first reservation has been completed.

15.     All glass containers are PROHIBITIED within the City of Ennis Park areas.

Baseball and softball fields at Bluebonnet and Roger Maise Park are available for practices (Field Practice Application). Rental fee is $10 an hour per field and an additional $10 an hour per field if lights are needed.


SOCCER

Soccer fields at Veterans Memorial Park are available to reserve for tournaments & practices. (Same rental fees as above)

HOW TO RENT A PARK PAVILION


For all rentals, it is required that renters review the City of Ennis Pavilion Cancellation Policy, sign a waiver, and agree to pavilion rental rules to complete a reservation.

STEP 1: Check to see if your date is available by contacting City Hall at (972) 875-1234 EXT: 2419

STEP 2: Submit or email an your application to mbrodie@ennistx.gov

Next submit full payment to City Hall at 107 N. Sherman. Calendar dates for pavilion reservations are first come first serve. Meaning you must pay for your pavilion reservation on an available date for your event to be put on our reservation calendar.

STEP 3: Cleanup after your is required as part of the pavilion rental agreement at the conclusion of your event.

NOTICE: No permanent adhesives may be used to attach signage or party decorations to the pavilion structure. Any tape used for party favors or signage MUST be removed after your event. Applicant may be charged with facility clean-up or damage fee if pavilion is not left in original condition.

CANCELLATION POLICY: You must submit a cancellation request no later than 5 business days prior to your reservation date to receive a refund. Cancellations must be submitted at City Hall.

HOW DO I REPORT AN ISSUE WITH A PARK OR FACILITY?

Call us at (972) 875-1234 EXT: 2419 for any of the following issues:

- Graffiti or defacement of park sidewalks or buildings

- Cleanliness or general maintenance 

- Playground damage

- Athletic field or court damage

- Structural hazard in pavilions, gazebos, picnic areas, boat launch, pier, fitness court, etc

- Non-scheduled grass cut due to heavy rains

- Water leakage or electrical issues in public restrooms

HOW DO I FIND OUT ABOUT RECREATION EVENTS OR SPORTS LEAGUES?

The Recreation Department plans sporting events and social activities throughout the year for both youths and adults. Head on over to our Team Sideline portal to register and see what is currently being offered.  The registration process is simple but if you run into any problems, email Mike Richardson at mirichardson@ennistx.gov or call (972) 875-1234 Ext: 2403.

For registration information about youth baseball, softball, pee-wee football, and basketball leagues, click the drop down arrow in the "Sports League" menu and find the appropriate sport.
