Bluebonnet park pavilion
Baseball and softball fields at Bluebonnet Park are available for games and tournaments. Please submit an application for tournament field permits (Tournament Field Permit Application) Rental fee is $250 a day per field and an additional $10 an hour per field if lights are needed.
Baseball and softball fields at Bluebonnet and Roger Maise Park are available for practices (Field Practice Application). Rental fee is $10 an hour per field and an additional $10 an hour per field if lights are needed. (No lights at Roger Maise)
SOCCER
Soccer fields at Veterans Memorial Park are available to reserve for tournaments & practices. (Same rental fees as above)
STEP 1: Check to see if your date is available by contacting the Parks Department at (972) 875-1234 EXT: 2248.
STEP 2: Submit an application for a Field Permit to pliska@ennistx.gov
STEP 3: You will receive further registration details via email from that point on.
We offer covered pavilions at Bluebonnet, Lions, Rogers & Maise, and IOOF at Fairview Park. These pavilions are perfect venues for birthday parties or similar events and each come with picnic tables, benches, lighting, a large outdoor grill, and electrical outlets. Bluebonnet, Lions and Rogers & Maise Park have connecting bathrooms.
FEE: $75 for a Half Day or $100 for a Full Day.
TIMES: Half Day rental hours are “Park Open” to 1:00 PM OR 3:00 PM to “Park Close” Full Day rental hours are from “Park Open” to “Park Close”.

STEP 2: Submit or email an your application to mbrodie@ennistx.gov. Link to a fillable PDF application.
Next submit full payment to City Hall at 107 N. Sherman. Calendar dates for pavilion reservations are first come first serve. Meaning you must pay for your pavilion reservation on an available date for your event to be put on our reservation calendar.
STEP 3: Cleanup after your is required as part of the pavilion rental agreement at the conclusion of your event.
NOTICE: No permanent adhesives may be used to attach signage or party decorations to the pavilion structure. Any tape used for party favors or signage MUST be removed after your event. Applicant may be charged with facility clean-up or damage fee if pavilion is not left in original condition.
CANCELLATION POLICY: You must submit a cancellation request no later than 5 business days prior to your reservation date to receive a refund. Cancelations must be submitted at City Hall.

- Graffiti or defacement of park sidewalks or buildings
- Cleanliness or general maintenance
- Playground damage
- Athletic field or court damage
- Structural hazard in pavilions, gazebos, picnic areas, boat launch, pier, fitness court, etc
- Non-scheduled grass cut due to heavy rains
- Water leakage or electrical issues in public restrooms
The Recreation Department plans sporting events and social activities throughout the year for both youths and adults. Head on over to our Team Sideline portal to register and see what is currently being offered. The registration process is simple but if you run into any problems, email Mike Richardson at mirichardson@ennistx.gov or call (972) 875-1234 Ext: 2403.
For registration information about youth baseball, softball, pee-wee football, and basketball leagues, click the drop down arrow in the "Sports League" menu and find the appropriate sport.
