Certificates of Appropriateness and Status
In accordance to Section 3.3.8 of the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO), a Certificate of Appropriateness (CofA) is required when an applicant proposes exterior restoration, alteration and/or rehabilitation work to properties in the historic districts. The Historic Landmark Commission, body appointed by the City Commission of the City of Ennis, is entrusted with the review and approval or denial of a CofA application.
In its continued commitment to transparency, the City of Ennis Planning and Development Department will publish on the City's website any approved or denied CofA applications. If you have any questions about any of the applications posted on this site or have questions about the Certificate of Appropriateness process, please do not hesitate to contact the Planning and Development staff.
