Zoning Verification Letter

A Zoning Verification Letter provides information about and verifies the current zoning of a particular piece of property and the types of uses that may be allowed in that zoning district. This letter can also confirm whether or not the property is in compliance with any and all applicable zoning ordinances and it is usually and typically by lenders and/or buyers during the due diligence process.  

Effective immediately, to obtain a zoning verification letter from our Planning and Development Department, please complete a Zoning Verification Letter Request and provide the appropriate fee of $25. Staff will begin processing your request once a completed application and the appropriate fee are received.  

Please file and complete the request through our Online Portal at https://ennistx.portal.opengov.com/. 

Please be aware that any changes or addendums to the letter after it has been issued by staff will require a new application and a new fee.
