A plat is an official map or chart that delineates a tract of land and its subdivision into one or more distinct parcels. The plat must accurately depict the location, dimensions, and boundaries of property lines, easements, and other relevant features within the subdivision.
In accordance with Texas Local Government Code, Chapter 212 (Municipal Regulation of Subdivisions and Property Development) and Texas Occupations Code, Chapter 1071 (Professional Land Surveying Practices Act), all plats shall be prepared by a licensed land surveyor. Upon completion, the plat must be filed for permanent record with the County Clerk pursuant to Texas Property Code §12.002 and submitted to the Planning Department for approval and recordkeeping.

Incomplete or non-compliant submissions will not be accepted for processing.
