Children Summer Reading Program 2021                                                           Print

Children ages 6-12 are encouraged to build a life-long reading habit with this fun challenge. Here is how to participate:

  1. Register.
  2. Read/listen to books/ebooks/audio-books and log your time in READsquared.  1 minute = 1 point.
  3. Collect a badge and prize when you reach 240, 480, and 720 points.
  4. Complete the reading goal by July 31st to receive a certificate and be entered to win your choice of grand prize.  Four winners will be randomly selected.
  5. For added fun watch cool shows, create neat crafts, play games, and go on exciting missions.  Each week has a different theme, show, activity, and/or mission.  Check the calendar often so you don't miss out!

Parents: the items needed to make crafts are things that can be found around the house.  To help supplement your supplies, the library is offering free craft kits that contain a few items such as glue, rubber bands, paper plates etc.  Please stop by the front desk to ask for one if needed.
