Fines, Fees, and Charges

Materials become overdue at the opening of the library the day following the due date on the item. City Ordinance 85-12-3 makes the taking or failing to return library materials a criminal offense and provides for a penalty.

Overdue Charges
Books (other than Interlibrary loan) $0.25 per day, per item
Interlibrary loan items $1.00 per day, per item
Magazines $0.25 per day, per item
Audiobooks $0.25 per day, per item
Videos $0.25 per day, per item

Damaged or Lost Materials
Carrying case or container (video case, cassette case, hangar bag, etc.) $1.50 per item
Removal of barcode from items $1.00 per item
Lost library card $3.00
Materials (in-print) lost or damaged beyond repair

Miscellaneous Fees & Charges
Interlibrary Loan If postage is required for an interlibrary loan request, the library is able to charge for return postage according to rates set by the state library.  If the lending library charges an additional amount, such as postal insurance, the patron pays this also.

(black and white)
$0.10 per page (for both 8 1/2 X 11 and 11 X 14)
Microfilm reader/printer $0.10 per page
Computer printouts (black and white) $0.10 per page
Computer printouts (color) $0.50 per page
Fax machine
(send and receive)
$0.50 per page
Photocopies (color) $0.50 per page
